Bolt-on post protector column guards with bull nose deflector at the bottom protects uprights column from forklift abuse. Standard column guards are available in 24" height (custom sizes available in special order). Designed for a 3" wide column face. Wrap- around style guard bolts onto the tear-drop or T-bolt column face and also allows you to anchor through the bull nose. They fit most 3" x 3" or 3" x 1-5/8" columns. There's also a hole in the middle of the face of the guard. You can use the center hole for frame columns that will not accommodate bolts-on style (like structural rack, speedrack, sturdi-bilt, etc.) To use the center hole design, just match the center hole on the guard up to the frame column, drill a hole in the center of the frame column and just bolt the guard to the upright. There is also an anchor hole in the bull nose front of the guard with a very thick nose guard protecting the anchor if you choose to anchor to floor. We recommend that you anchor the guard to the floor as well as bolting it to the column frame. You can anchor through the bull nose with a 3.5" long x ½" thick anchoring bolt into the concrete floor for additional stability. Guard is made of 1/4" thick steel.
